The Earthshot Prize, the Charity Founded by Prince William to Help Repair Our Planet, Welcomes Hilary Roberts as Chief Product and Technology Officer
London, England — August 10, 2022 Renovata & Company is pleased to announce the placement of Hilary Roberts as chief product and technology officer at The Earthshot Prize. Inspired by President JF Kennedy’s 1960s Moonshot Program, and launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in October 2020, The Earthshot Prize is designed to search, select, spotlight and scale transformative solutions that will help repair and regenerate the planet this decade. The Renovata & Company team was pleased to lead and be involved with this not-for-profit project.

Roberts will harness the power of technology platforms, data and machine learning to support and connect a global ecosystem to develop and scale innovative solutions that impact our world. In the first half of 2022, she is supporting the development of the organization’s world-class search engine, powered by a community of not-for-profits, investors, category-leading corporations, governments, academic organizations and citizens, and underpinned by crowdsourcing, technology and AI tools. In the second half of 2022, she will lead the charge to prototype an Earthshot Fellowship Program to accelerate the journey to scale for the top 30 teams of innovators and entrepreneurs.
“Hilary has scaled global products, led a company turnaround culminating in a successful acquisition, and repeatedly used product to access new buyers and markets, increase revenue, and deliver growth for start-ups and scale-ups,” says Thomas Jepsen, Renovata & Company partner. “She will leverage the right technology and community platforms for real impact.”
For nearly six years at Skyskanner, a global travel search site, Roberts held product and senior product manager roles before being promoted to director, product management. Roberts has also worked as chief product officer for Wagestream, a financial app. Before that, she was at Bloomon, an online florist, first as head of product before taking the position of chief product officer. She launched her career in program and project management at the University of Edinburgh.
