Vice President of Engineering
New York, NY — July 17, 2020 Renovata & Company is pleased to announce the placement of Aditya Palande as vice president of engineering for McAfee, a global provider of cybersecurity solutions for businesses and consumers. Palande plays a key role on the executive team leading McAfee during a transformational period. He will help scale the consumer organization and implement next-generation engineering capabilities.
McAfee helps businesses orchestrate integrated cyber environments—where protection, detection, and correction of security threats occur simultaneously and collaboratively. McAfee helps consumers secure their devices against viruses, malware, and other threats at home and away.
Founded in 1987, McAfee was purchased by Intel in 2010 in a deal valued at $7.6B. In 2017, Intel and co-investors TPG Capital and Thoma Bravo spun McAfee out into a standalone security service provider. McAfee’s current goal is to be a Tier-1 security provider with numerous product offerings. The company recently expanded its previously web-based security business to incorporate mobile (Android) security as well.
Over the past 30 years, McAfee has built a global threat intelligence network, constantly analyzing and gathering data on threats from over 450 million endpoints around the globe. With approximately 7,500 employees, 16 products and the ability to cover up to 10 devices, McAfee offers one of the most robust suites of consumer security solutions on the market. Following the acquisition by TPG, McAfee is transforming its business to target a huge market filled with competitors large and small. IDC estimates that the total global revenue for security-related hardware, software, and services have grown at a 6.6% annual rate since 2016 and will continue to grow at this pace through 2020, when it will eclipse $10B.

He has also served as executive vice president of product and engineering at Sysomos, Inc.; vice president of engineering at Marketo; vice president of engineering at Ariba; director of engineering at Google, Inc.; and vice president of engineering and interim chief executive officer of Altius, Inc.
