Varjo, a Leader in Industrial-Grade VR / XR Headsets, Welcomes Patrick Wyatt as Chief Product Officer, Cloud
London, England — July 19, 2022 Renovata & Company is pleased to announce the placement of Patrick Wyatt as chief product officer, cloud, for Varjo—a leader in industrial-grade VR / XR headsets. The firm also placed Mat Zagaynov as head of product, reporting to Wyatt.
Varjo is backed by Atomico, Lifeline Ventures and EQT and has raised more than $100M in venture capital funding. Its headsets allow professionals, in industries from aerospace to architecture, to work in human eye-resolution virtual or mixed reality—for example, when designing new products, buildings, simulation and training.
The company was founded in 2016 by former Nokia and Microsoft executives. Varjo specializes in the development of VR and XR headsets designed to reinvent virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. The company’s headsets come equipped with photorealistic visual fidelity, low latency, high-definition stereo, focus texture and contour, lights, shadows, and integrated eye tracking—enabling customers to experience photorealistic mixed-reality scenarios. They operate across a wide range of industries, and their clients include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Volvo, Ferrari, Siemens and many others.

Prior to joining Deliveroo, Wyatt spent nearly four years at ZOE, a nutritional science startup. Before that he was senior vice president, product management at Criteo. He started his nine-year stint at Criteo as head of analytics before taking on the role of vice president, product. Wyatt also spent two years as a senior strategy analyst at Yahoo!, and worked as a strategic consultant at Estin & Co.
Before Varjo, Zagaynov was product director at Arrival in London. He was a product leader at Samsara, and also at Facebook. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
