Founded in 2011, Six Degrees has approximately 450 employees and is growing rapidly. With 17 acquisitions to date, the company has a full portfolio of data centers, cloud platforms and next-generation data offerings. Six Degrees provides IT solutions for the UK mid-market. Its Enterprise clients in retail, manufacturing, finance and legal include Brintons, AvantiGas, Barclays, Bird & Bird and more. Clients in the public sector span government, healthcare, education and police/justice.
Charlesbank, a leading US-headquartered private equity fund, acquired a majority stake in the business in 2015. The investment enabled Six Degrees to acquire a portfolio of businesses that deepened its internal capabilities and new-client acquisition.

Wood joined Six Degrees from easyJet, where he was IT service delivery director. He was previously director of technology services at Travis Perkins plc, head of service delivery at Marks and Spencer, and head of group service delivery at Home Retail Group. Earlier during his employment with Home Retail Group, he held numerous technology management roles, including head of application services, head of development services, release manager and test manager.
